Ekser
Profile: By February of 2006, however, Ekser had parted ways with former bassist Lane Lariviere due to creative and personal differences, and were once again on the hunt for a new bassist. After a fair amount of tryouts, the band found their next addition in Dominic Varrone. Almost immediately after, Ekser went into the studio in April 2006 and began recording their 2006 release, "The Obliteration Process". In a recent interview, guitarist Kyle Brandstatter basically stated that the new album was better in all aspects. Were putting more time into this one, other than that our musicianship, song structure, technicality, speed and overall heaviness have improved... somewhat. Basically everything (Kyle Brandstatter). After three of years of being a band, Ekser is slowly but surely getting the attention they deserve. With a great turn-out to every show and support spanning the entire United States, Ekser is bound to gain the respect that they worked so hard for. Amidst the cloud of cookie-cutter metalcore bands, Ekser stands out like nail in a haystack, and considering the name means nail in Serbian, its excellent to see a band live up to its name. And much like a nail, Eksers brutal sound will pound and drill into your head relentlessly. -Nitish (radioaz.net) Sounds Like: just listenInfluences: Lamb of God, Necrophagist, Decapitated, Dying Fetus, Theory in Practice, The Forsaken, Opeth, Shadows Fall, The Black Dahlia Murder.Homepage: http://myspace.com/ekser
