Victoria was a goddess who smiled on the ancient Roman people for many centuries. Early Christians adopted the name, probably due to Saint Paul's praise of "God, which giveth us the victory". Royal associations from 19th-century England's Queen Victoria and the four-syllable pronunciation give Victoria an air of dignity, formality and distinction. Victoria's short forms and nicknames are very informal by contrast. Vittoria is an Italian form; Viktoria is Czech.
Right now we've got the onomastics out the way here's some random stuff you should know.
1.I have an essentially irrational fear of sheep. 2.I dance...A lot...Probably a little too much. 3.I like to save snails that sit on the pavement. 4.My best friends nicknames for me are Minimoose, Scabatha and Sex. 5.I'm a classically trained ballerina and also trained in Modern, Jazz, Contemporary and Tap. 7.I was due to be born on February 29th. 8.Did I mention I dance? 9.I bet you didn't notice there was no number 6. 10. I'm a dinky 5'3 (and a half) " tall. I say short > friends say 'Fun size'. 11.I've been dancing since the age of two. 12. I can fold my tongue back on itself and make it stick. 13.I Should've left this at 12 but I don't like even numbers.
