If you rate my profile I will give you a rating as well.
I tend to be a cheerful person by nature. I am quite inquisitive and generally not satisfied by the work-a-day world mentality. Even during those 8 hours a day, 5 days a week I can be found contemplating the grander mysteries of life.
I find myself quite drawn to the Georgian - Victorian eras of English history. I am fond of the fashion of the aristocracy of those eras. I look at the craftsmanship and quality of those times then look around at our culture today and think 'This is progress?' A hand crafted, hard wood engraved dresser that lasts for centuries versus the 'put it together yourself, press board, made to look like real wood and will probably fall apart in a few years' dresser. There really is no comparison.
I am a spiritualist but not religious person. For those who don't know that means I do believe there is a higher power/creator that I refer to as God for the lack of a better word, but I also believe that religions are created by men with a set of rules and guidelines that these men have approved. That system certainly is good for some people, but I am not one of those people. My main spiritual interest is near death experiences. These people get a chance to glimpse whatever comes after the body expires so whatever knowledge they bring back can only be of use to us I think. But it's not for everyone and I definitely will not push my beliefs on you, nor criticize you for whatever you believe in...unless your into Scientology, then cover your ears please while I chuckle just a little bit. Has Jim Jones taught us nothing?
In my spare time I enjoy photography, playing guitar, and ghost hunting. Photography allows me to show the world how I view it. Music allows me to express myself in ways where words alone fall short. And the ghost hunting I do for myself in an attempt to gain verifiable proof (if such proof exists) that there is life after death (I already believe there is, but a skeptical mind is a curse of the human condition). That would give me hope for the future after this life, but on the same token would creep me out that my already past loved ones might be hanging about when I'm on the toilet (yea, the next time you're in there and hear an unexplainable noise, think of this and see if it doesn't put a kink in your 'throne' time). :P
That is a brief but not short outline of who I am. I am usually on here way early in the morning looking for like minded people who would like to have a conversation. If any of this has peaked your interest or you're just bored out of your skull and would like someone to talk to, feel free to send me an email. I am always up for a chat.
Dishonesty, Closed Minded People, and a few other things I am sure, but I spend my time thinking about the things I like, not the things I dislike.
Cradle of Filth, King Diamond, Old Man's Child, A Pale Horse Named Death, Marilyn Manson (anything earlier than Mechanical Animals and Holy Wood), Six Feet Under, Cannibal Corpse (Chris Barns era), GWAR, Bauhaus, Nurse With Wound, Birthday Massacre, Candy Spooky Theater, The Pine Box Boys, Slipknot, Pantera, etcetera etcetera ad nauseam!
