Hi there! I'm Jess, most people call me Nyx. I'm in love with dragons. I'm definitely an acquired taste. I've been described as deranged and eccentric, an occasionally diabolical. I've also been described as cynically bubbly. I know that sounds like a contradiction, but when one works night shift at a convenience store/gas station where one is forced to deal with the scum of the earth, one tends to become cynical. I'm pretty easy going and easy to get along with, until someone decides it's a good idea to piss me off. So in essence, I have the tolerance of a saint, but the wraith of the demon. Stupidity and ignorance are my largest turn-offs. I'm a super nerd, and by super nerd I mean I play Magic: The Gathering and video games when I have free time. I write, I draw, I paint, and I sing. I have a passion for art and literature, and I'm an aspiring tattoo artist. As far as religion goes, I don't really have any specific religion or deity that I follow. I'm more spiritual than anything, and I suppose one could consider me an eclectic pagan. Or...something of the sort. Kind of. I started out as studying to be Wiccan, but then realized that it simply wasn't my path of life, because it's very structured. I'm not one for structure and order. When it comes down to it, I prefer chaos. Don't get me wrong, I can appreciate structure and order, and I value it's place in life, it just doesn't rub me the right way. The worlds are not seen in black and white, everything is seen in shades of gray. I smoke cigarettes a little more than I should, and I drink occasionally, but other than that I don't really care for the whole drug scene. I absolutely adore body modification. I find it fascinating, and to me, the greatest form of self expression is altering the skin you walk in to make it suit you better. I guess that brings this segment to an end. I'm always up for interesting conversation, so please feel free to strike one up with me.
