My name is Natasha. I'm soon to be eighteen years old and I am a college freshman. I live in New York. I love speaking French and Spanish but.. French > Spanish (hehe) I'm Puerto Rican not Spanish. There is a difference... I am not from Spain.. unless you want to get technical. But if that's the case you must remember that Puerto Ricans are not only mixed with Spanish, but also African and Taino Indian. I like my heritage and dislike when people try to tell me otherwise just because I happen to adore the country of France and love speaking the French language. Because my first language is English, I am considered a heritage Spanish speaker. I can write, read, and understand most spanish. Psychologists believe that heritage Spanish speakers often have trouble speaking Spanish due to a traumatic experience. This happens to be true for me, or it at least applies to me in some way. I can't really speak Spanish and my reason is that from the time I was a little girl, my father used to yell at me because I couldn't understand a thing he was saying. Instead of encouraging me, he made me feel weak and stupid. However, I am not going to give up. I still try to speak it every now and again. I've even been a translator for some people a couple of times, which was a great feeling. Yet, I'm focusing on French for now because it is my passion. Friends are always nice, but I don't use the term loosely because I've been "back-stabbed" often in the past when I did so I've become more of a loner, and am okay with it. I used to hate being alone, I needed people even if they weren't good.. which is why I was always "betrayed". The people I now consider friends are good people. I've got a few of 'em. I've learned that it's not about quantity but quality. And that's the important part. One of my very good friends is a girl named Ciara. [Go check her out and rate her 10!!] |

PENGUINS!!! People who can make me laugh. People who don't piss me off. People who don't get mad when I correct their spelling, grammar, etc! (I can't help it, I'm a perfectionist but that does not mean I am perfect, I mess up too!) I like guys. I'm a big fan of the male gender lol. Which means I don't discriminate but I, like most people, have preferences. I like black guys, mexican guys, and Frenchies of course. I generally don't prefer Puerto Ricans because I like to promote interracial dating [I believe it results in tolerance of cultures] but ya never know. Noses are my thing. Pointy, broken, crooked, big [sometimes].. generally, if something is wrong with it, I like it. |

People who intentionally hurt others. People who lie!!! I don't like people who smoke.. anything. I don't like people who consume alcohol. However, because I don't like to place judgements on people, I will befriend anyone who happens to drink/smoke... I just won't like it. |

I first and foremost love rock music. However, I am more eclectic with my music taste. I enjoy many kinds of music and many different artists. I even like one country artist. But I still think country is a sad genre. But eh, just my opinion.
