I am a hardcore fan of this band and really want to help get them known!! Amongst Carrion is a British Metal band from Newport, South Wales, formed in late 2010. The band was founded as a Metal cover band with a completely different line-up and the music was inspired by bands such as Metallica, Killswitch Engage, Lamb of God and many others. After many musician changes it has finally settled as it is today as Amongst Carrion whose music is mainly influenced by bands like Parkway Drive, Miss May I, August Burns Red and Lamb of God. The current line-up features lead guitarist Dan Coppuck (who is the founder and songwriter in the band) vocalist Joshua ‘AJ’ Lewis (a member since May 2011) James Hampson (Rhythm Guitarist since formation of AC) Dan Pugh (Bassist) and Scott Waters (Drums). The band started taking things really seriously after the joining of former Chase The Sunset vocalist, AJ. The band have gigged in many places in South Wales and have also travelled across the severn bridge to play in Bristol showing that they are willing to break out of their local scene and travel to places around the UK. On November 21st the band released their debut EP titled ‘We That Should Not Be’ and along with it a Music Video that will have air time on Scuzz and various other music television channels. The band are also looking to tour and currently have a couple of weekend tours set up and are planning a full UK tour for the middle of next year. The band are a hardworking unit full of ambition, willing to do everything needed to achieve their goals. Unlike some bands Amongst Carrion are out to gain a large and strong fan base and actually communicate with the fans they obtain, making a good connection with their audience via interaction as well as through their music.
