Profile: Christian Death, the legendary LA band that pioneered the sensual, dark subculture and music genre known as “Deathrock,” have resurrected “C.D.1334” as its next incarnation. Featuring original Only Theatre of Pain musical architects Rikk Agnew on guitar and James McGearty on bass, these iconic legends have once again reunited to conjure their signature sound back to life. With the help of LA’s own Queen of Goth and Only Theatre of Pain contributor Eva O on vocals, the group now has the voice to recreate Deathrock’s evil Trinity. Eva’s dark style and enigmatic persona promises to deliver all the horror and drama of the next incarnation of this timeless music. "C.D.1334" has also enlisted the support of former Daucus-Karota,Shadow Project,EXP drummer (Path of Sorrows) Christian Omar Madrigal Izzo who, propel the beating bloodline of the lurid, rhythmic atmospherics so intrinsic to the band's genre-defining sound. This line-up offers to unleash the second coming of the original Christian Death as envisioned for the band’s never-released second album. With the help of famed photographer Edward Colver and original Christian Death drummer George Belanger, the fate of these five people were intertwined once again at a time when the world is ready to receive the 25th anniversary release of the seminal album Only Theatre of Pain. Recognizing the continuing thirst for the original Christian Death sound through those who emulate and imitate, “C.D.1334” has emerged to resurrect their timeless, perpetually influential sound. Exhuming from the archives of previously unreleased Christian Death material, created during several incarnations of Christian Death featuring the late Rozz Williams, the new sound possesses a hauntingly recognizable familiarity.
