I often get distracted by butterflies that cross my path. In summer my distraction worsens but even as winter approaches and the stiff grass crunches under my leather boots with no butterflies in sight I still manage to be awed by the beauty of nature. Perhaps my distraction has lead to a better purpose as I now study Biology. The distraction I have my professors now use virtuous words such as "dedicated" and "ambitious." Although I am grateful for their proud description of a good student what they do not realize is that I am really just distracted. I smile inwardly. I smile outwardly too without reservation.
Science, poetry, short walks on the beach, exploring, hiding behind trees, reading, creating, questioning.
