Jennifer Parkin, the woman behind Ayria is a singer/songwriter based in Toronto Canada who's music has been rapidly gaining international attention allowing her and her live band to tour all over the globe including the U.S., Europe, UK, Japan, Russia and Mexico. Ayria has toured alongside bands: VNV Nation, Combichrist, Project Pitchfork, The Cruxshadows and Angelspit, and has opened shows for legendary bands Front Line Assembly and Front 242 in the past.
The music: Ayria blends elements of industrial, electro, synth pop, 80’s, punk, and dance. Jennifer's unique writing and performing style and her mixing extreme feminine visual style with both aggressive old-school industrial music, with elements of electro-pop, trance and the catchy hooks reminiscent of 80's synth pop has made her music hard to classify or ignore.
The latest Ayria CD "Plastic Makes Perfect" was released on May 24, 2013 and is receiving amazing reviews being declared the BEST Ayria release to date. Described as dripping with emotion, a danceable post-punk-electronic hybrid fitting between industrial and pop. Thick synth programming mixed with angelic vocals, one reviewer described Ayria as a combination of Nitzer Ebb and Garbage. You can listen for your self, and hopefully you'll support me (Jennifer Parkin AKA Ayria) directly by ordering your digital copy on Ayria's Bandcamp, or you can order a personally signed CD, or Special Edition Box Set plus check out New T-shirt Designs on The Ayria Shop.

Mainly personal experiences that come from things that I see, hear, read and live. Here's a list of things that cause me to get out of bed in the morning: music (writing, making, listening & dancing to), reading (mostly sci-fi, crime scene), movies (comedy), Lost, coffee, eating sushi, puppies, touring, hanging out with friends at "The Bistro", rollerblading, the colour pink, girlie stuff like hair, cosmetics & clothing, chocolate, cooking, big dirty bass lines, beatz, dancing, Battlestar Galactica, Flight of the Conchords, CSI, my Nord Lead 2 keyboard, interwebbing.
