Jennifer Parkin, the woman behind Ayria is a singer/songwriter based in Toronto Canada who's music has been rapidly gaining international attention allowing her and her live band to tour all over the globe including the U.S., Europe, UK, Japan, Russia and Mexico. Ayria has toured alongside bands: VNV Nation, Combichrist, Project Pitchfork, The Cruxshadows and Angelspit, and has opened shows for legendary bands Front Line Assembly and Front 242 in the past.
The music: Ayria blends elements of industrial, electro, synth pop, 80’s, punk, and dance. Jennifer's unique writing and performing style and her mixing extreme feminine visual style with both aggressive old-school industrial music, with elements of electro-pop, trance and the catchy hooks reminiscent of 80's synth pop has made her music hard to classify or ignore. Come out and catch some of the upcoming tour dates:
P.S. The new CD "Plastic Makes Perfect" is in production (with producer Sebastian R. Komor) in 2011. More news to come...
Please help spread the word about upcoming dates, let me know if you're coming by posting! Feel free to share your song requests, and please share this event with your friends... Much love Jennifer

Influences
Mainly personal experiences that come from things that I see, hear, read and live. Here's a list of things that cause me to get out of bed in the morning: music (writing, making, listening & dancing to), reading (mostly sci-fi, crime scene), movies (comedy), Lost, coffee, eating sushi, puppies, touring, hanging out with friends at "The Bistro", rollerblading, the colour pink, girlie stuff like hair, cosmetics & clothing, chocolate, cooking, big dirty bass lines, beatz, dancing, Battlestar Galactica, Flight of the Conchords, CSI, my Nord Lead 2 keyboard, interwebbing.
Love your music, I hope to see you live someday, any plans on coming to SouthAmerica someday? fyi, Argentina has the best crowd in the world, take that into consideration :P haha
