I want to find some pretty neat people to talk to.
And that's about it.
I read a lot. I play video games a lot. I love cars, I love working on cars, I love cooking, and I love baking, I love cats, and I only sometimes love dogs.
I love a lot obviously, and that list of loves shall only grow as time passes and I update this more.
Lets see;
I have a collection of books that totals at somewhere near 150 and it grows ALL THE TIME.
-I read what I like and don't limit myself to genres or authors. If I don't like it, I don't read it.
-Some of my favorite authors are Douglas Adams, J.R.R. Tolkien, and Stephen King. (Those are just the famous ones that I know people will recognize)
I play PC video games like a fiend, and I recently won a PS3 so I've been playing a back catalog of those games. If I am at home and I am not reading, chances are I am playing video games.
And if I am not doing either of those, chances are that I am online and listening to music.
As far as music goes, I am very open minded and level headed about music. I try my best not to be snobby about what I listen to, because I find that very annoying in people, but I do openly like a lot of bands and am not afraid to talk about them. Most of the music I tend to listen to is probably considered bad by a large portion of the population of this website.
I am going to college to become a high-school level history teacher.
I realize this is not the most glamorous job, and is one of the worst paying careers I could choose, but I feel that it is also one of the most noble and necessary jobs in the world. Bankers, tech developers, and all that what-not might not always be needed, but education will. It is the cornerstone of why our civilization thrives.
I'm incredibly geeky, and it's not something I try and stay hidden. I have toys, comics, books, and games all over my room, and a majority of my clothing has something to do with video games or cartoons or some other dorkish thing. A typical dialog with a girl I brought home to my room would go something along these lines;
"Is this your little brother's room or something?" Says the girl innocently.
To which I reply with a bit of anxiety and nervousness, "No...uhh...not really. This is my room."
"Oh." She might say, taken aback, a bit less enthusiastic for whatever the night might have procured, "I actually think I might have left my grandmother in the oven. I gotta go."
And there I stand. Always the hopeless romantic, I might believe for several months that her grandmother really was in the oven. But, as these things go...well, you probably know.
'Tis true, however, I am a hopeless romantic. I fall in love with nearly every girl I see. That is not to say I am fickle, but have a more open heart than is advisable for someone as hopeless as myself.
Along the lines of being a hopeless romantic, I also write poetry and prose. If you're ever interested in reading any of it you can check out my DeviantART page at velvet-angst.deviantart.com
