Hello everyone we are Anti Atom. We are a groove/death metal band from Erie Pennsylvania (the black hole). We are a 4-piece band consisting of Kenny Sutton on drums, Joseph Vitale on the mic, Miah Sutton on the guitar,and Will Walker on bass. Anti Atom was born during September 2007 in the basement of Kenny Sutton(drums) starting out as a three piece playing chunky, thrashy, doom riffs played by Miah Sutton on guitar jamming along with the thundering double bass beatdown played by kenny sutton on the drums then layered over with the demonic death screams of Joe Vitale at the same time being complimented with his angry, angsty, relatable lyrics. As a three piece we played all over the erie bar/club hurting for a bass player to fill our unique heavy sound, even having a rhythm guitar player in the fold for a few shows(Ian Smith).Still desperate for a bass player, and the lack of serious metal musicians in the city of erie pretty much convincing the band to just stay a three piece until someone was willing to step up and fill the spot. While waiting for a bass player the band decided to record their first demo "Sucky Savor" which had 3 brutal tracks on it. It wasnt until a show at Sherlocks Pub, (Erie P.A.) during the spring of 2009, where we were approached by an aspiring, serious bassist William Walker. After seeing a few of our shows he was convinced that he was ready with the talent and dedication this serious metal outfit needed. It only took a few rehearsals for him to fully prepare for his first show which was recorded and released in the summer of 2009 it was titled "Kicking It Old School" featuring 12 blistering tracks it even has some crowd interaction on it, laying down the low end with his own technical style of metal finally completing the sound we longed for! After Will joining the Anti guys and learning all the material we jumped into recording but had some technical difficulties, theres no problems because as of right now all of our programs are up and running again ready for us to put the crisp, technical death metal sound of anti atom back in the public. Its our mission to keep getting out there with all of our metal brothers while destroying the trends! Speaking the truth no matter how we put it, as long as we keep metal heads happy and change some minds while having to put up with this amazing/shitty existence. Always trying hard to write badass metal while staying true to our own and keeping the metal community strong while writing original, inspiring, and always passionately brutal groove death metal Thank you everyone for all of your support , and spread the word like a disease. -Anti Atom its a mix , we all have different tastes Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa, Pantera, Mushroomhead, The Mars Volta, The Beatles, Behemoth, Eyehategod, Slayer, Ministry, Modest Mouse, Dimmu Borgir, Nile, Acid Bath, Goatwhore, Morbid Angel, Down, Death, Neurosis, Pig Destroyer, Beck, Primus, Oysterhead, Crowbar, Jeff Beck, Cannibal Corpse, Rage Against the Machine, Strapping Young Lad, Type O Negative, Vampire Mooose, yeah theres a lot more but that pretty much says it.
