Profile: First off I'm Irish and I'm damned happy about it. I live in the town of Swords, a little hole in Dublin. My life is pretty much divided into 3 main groups, music, film and the written word. I'm really into music and I can't stop going out of my way to learn something new about it every chance I get. I've been singing since I was 4, but I became obsessed with the different vocal styles in metal and rock and decided to pursue them. Written word wise, despite by horrible spelling, I'm quite the book-worm, Stephen King mostly, followed by the likes of Raymond Feist, Sergei Lukyanenko and the late Robert Jordan, along with several other fantasy and horror authors. Film wise, well I'm a man who loves his cinema. I've had a thing for cult and exploitation cinema since I was old enough to follow a plot. I started collecting video nasties soon after and I nearly have the whole set, unless something else gets banned for obscenity in the next few months. Basically, I'm the kind of person who doesn't have casual interests. When I discover something I like, I have to know everything about it and collect everything associated with it. My living space is littered with vintage posters and band t-shirts, stacks of DVDs, larger stacks of books, CDs and vinyl and only god knows what else. I've spent a long time collecting knowledge, and I am more than willing to share. Moving on, I am music lover by nature, but I love rock'n'roll more than anything else. Metal, country, rockabilly and all adjoining sub-genres, it's all rock'n'roll and I honestly love it down to my bones. Though, I will admit that Metal is my favourite part of rock'n'roll. I suppose if you had to drop title on me, it would be Rocker/Metaler, and I am perfectly OK with that. No reason to fear being a cliché if you're being yourself. I am extremely argumentative and I love a good debate. One of the main things you'll notice about me after a first conversation is that I go off on pissed off rants at the drop of a hat, you'll find some examples below in the dislikes section. If you are easily offended, you really should not talk to me, ever. I'm very philosophical and I'm always coming up with theorems (In other words, I love the sound of my voice :P). When I was a kid people said I was too young to be philosophical and in my youthful arrogance I threw this aside and said you're never too young to take a look around you and see what the world has to offer. But now that I am older, wiser and no longer have my mind clouded by the vile wretch of puberty, I can now see that they were correct to a certain degree. You are never too young to look at the world around you, but the problem is that in those teenage years we mostly see what we want to see. Some of us in our teenage melodrama convince ourselves the world is out to get us, others think that saying they hate the world will give them a harder edge to their personality, thus impressing those around them. Now, that is the real bullshit, misanthropy and nihilism are not trends to be followed on a whim for the asinine to impress the imbecile. This is for those aged 13 -17, stop trying so hard to impress others with a stolen or copied opinion and just let it flow from your mind naturally. A lot of people think I'm full of shit............what do you think. It is not a big deal, sex is a very small part of life and the fact I enjoy it does not make me a player or a man whore. I do not sleep with absolutely anyone, especially 14 year old scene girls with cleavage pictures. Yes, stop fucking asking. I enjoy a good pint every once in while(due to some health problems, I can't drink as much as I would like to) My Dog Coffee(If I don't have my coffee and smoke in the morning people will be injured!) People who can hold a decent conversation Being Irish(I'm very happy to be fully Irish and I love my country, this land has given me much) Going to the pub with my friends Benson and Hedges, my favorite cigarette brand playing gigs, it's one of the greatest rushes that can be experienced Ranting, I've been known for my rabid fire ranting, I'd like to think I incorporate logic into it, but I do tend to make them funny the odd time I love those quiet parts of the night, where it is just me, my record player, a few cigarettes (cigars for maximum enjoyment) and a large comfortable area of the floor, where I can lay down and reflect upon the day in my own positive, introspective way Dislikes: People who think they are Irish because of some stupid obscure Irish relative, I don't give a fuck if you're half Irish or a quarter Irish, OK, your left big toe might be from Donegal and I will not give a fuck. Being Irish is NOT a race and it is NOT an ethnicity, it is a nationality, if you were not born or raised in Ireland, you are not Irish, end of story. The majority of you who claim to be Irish cling to the idea of past ancestry as a way to buffer yourselves from reality. What the fuck is so bad about being American that you have to pretend to be something you're not!? Grow up, get real and stay the fuck away from my heritage. You make yourself look stupid and you make those of us in Ireland cringe. The last thing any Irish person wants, or any other person with a sense of dignity for that matter, is to be associated with people like you.I am not the biggest fan of people who treat their bodies like they're made of glass and expect me to do the same. The kind of people who make big deals out of trivial things like second hand smoke. As Steve Hughes once said, "Second hand smoke!? There's people still alive in Chernobyl for fuck sake, they just look a little funny. AND NOW WE MAKE THEM SMOKE OUTSIDE". OK, I get it, you're afraid of an early death and want to improve your quality of life. But, your problem is that you expect everyone else to assimilate to your wants, not gonna happen. I am a smoker, I like to smoke, if I didn't enjoy it, I wouldn't do it. The same with drinking. I do not see my body as a temple, I only care about staying healthy enough to stay in work and keep traveling to my hearts content, and to be frank, I only work out for the same reason as 80% of all men and that, is to look good naked. I am a firm believer in "all things in moderation", this is good enough for me, and it should be good enough for everyone else. I will inhale and ingest all the things I want, and I will simply not care for your opinion on what I should be eating and drinking. Quite simply, go away, I'm getting drunk! Death-core bands and the majority of their fans, for the love of god, to the fans, you do not like brutal music, you like how these talentless wasters are dressed. Bands like bring me the horizon, devil wears Prada, THEY ARE ALL SHIT, stolen riffs from actual decent bands, bastardized themes and heavy for the sake of heavy bollocks music, dressed up as my chemical romance and sent back to the population, IF ANY OF THESE BANDS CUT THEIR STUPID SIDE FRINGES, COVERED UP THEIR RETARDED OVERLY COLOURFUL TATTOOS AND TOOK OUT THEIR SNAKE BITES, NO 15 YEAR OLD GIRL WOULD LISTEN TO THEM. What sickens me is that 1995 - 2001 death-core was actually a decent genre of music, started by people who genuinely loved the music who wanted to break away and do something different and not a bunch of faggots jumping on the "whats popular now" band wagon. Now it's just a pathetic fashion statement(for the love of god BMTH have their own sickening clothing line, this should serve as a clue). Now a lot of the kids who listen to death-core only listen to it because it is the only heavy music they can get to and since death-core is the new FAD at the moment, they are stuck with pathetic idiotic trend bands and imitation music. Death-core is not metal, it is barley even music, soon it will die out and everyone who is in the death metal scene will be happy. Now I am going to listen Prostitute Disfigurement, a band full of men so ugly they have to be talented :P. I kid I kid, but you never know I may be on to something there. I am Just going to clarify that I do not judge people because of their musical taste. It is just my experience that the majority of death-core fans listen to the music for it's image, rather than it's sound, and this disgusts me, so if i do come across a person like this, I will call them out. If you have a problem with my personal opinion of a musical genre and call me closed minded, think for a moment, you are calling me closed minded for not liking something that you do, pot calling the kettle black, you silly silly silly children. Anyone who gets overly offended by the casual usage of the word "faggot" and use the word "homophobic" like it's a fucking catchphrase. What you retards need to understand is that when I use the word faggot, I am using it as a general term of abuse. If you feel like I have assaulted your sexuality by calling you a faggot, thats your problem and not mine, don't try to make it my problem you fucking closet-case fudge packer. And as for accusations of homophobia, you politically correct retards really need to grow the fuck up. Everytime someone makes a joke about the gays, you have to accuse this person of being afraid of them? This also goes for that one guy who does a hand stand when the crowd opens up for a wall, STOP THAT, PULL YOUR TROUSERS UP, YOU DO NOT LOOK COOL! Then we have the actual Dregs of society otherwise known as Scumbags, chavs, spides what ever the fuck you wanna call them. Then we have Liars ,wannabes of any description ,morally blind people(people who cant see a person for who they really are and are taken advantage of because of it, such a sign of weakness should be discouraged) and getting hit by cars(ive been hit by 16 cars, 5 buses and a bike marathon THIS HAS TO STOP). Now were moving onto a kind of person who I think should be Hung. I have no sympathy, respect or tolerance for these snot rags. And this is people who devote their lives to apathy and living off the sympathy of others. Life is something amazing and with many possibilities for even the most seemingly meaningless being, But according to you people, life is bleak and dark and out to get you. You actually make me sick to my very stomach, Life handed me a few hard deals in the past but I didn't piss and moan(for long anyway lol) and wait for someone to feel sorry for me. And if i bring this up to one of these people I get a big song and dance about how its different for them and its much more complicated, and I say this to you, your full of crap because here's the dirty little secret, there is always a silver lining, and it is always possible to dig yourself out, just get your head out of your ass and make life better for your self, because no one is going to do it for you. But then again it might do the human race some good, because you people inspire me so much to get on the highest horse possible so I don't have to stand in your filth. Now to people who have read this and think I am stuck up for the previous statement, well yes, I am on this particular subject. Hey if you're down on your luck and you're a friend I'm there for you, but if you just wanna live off of my sympathy and drown in your own apathy, please go die. And now this is as far as a political insight from me will go, I am not interested in politics at all, as long as I am able to feed myself and rise above my current station through hard work, I am satisfied. But, that being said, there is always something to rant about. Irish government is based off of catholic morals and a lot of the time the laws passed are basically taken straight from the bible. I am a man who loves his country, but I do not love it Blind. If I were to change anything it would be that Irish constitution were to be changed from a religious stand point and it became something a little realistic towards the needs of a human. This leads me to my opinion of religion. Now, I have never been on the anti-god band wagon or a "satanist". I believe that some people need religion, I don't need it but that does not give me the right to piss on someone's beliefs, But I will piss on it if they try to force it upon me, and that is the problem with religion, the forcing of it upon those who do not need it. Religion does not start wars, people do. People have used it as an excuse for years and doing away with religion will not end war, we will just find an even more irrational thing to start a war over. If you are a person who needs god in your life, that's fine, but please, keep it to yourself. It is your personal relationship with what ever you believe in, that should be enough and you should not feel the need to convert anyone. If you are going out of your way to convert more people, this tells me you are not as secure in your faith as you seem, you cannot force your will on anyone else, that is wrong. This is why I despise the amount of religion in Irish constitution, there needs to be a change, and I can only hope that this change will come in my life time. Now just a brief list of the things of everyday life I don't like. No milk in the morning, lack of cigarettes, chipping my teeth, Spiders and all other things that have more than 4 legs!(I don't care, I hate the little bastards), Iphones, amazon kindles, anyone who thinks brokencyde counts as music, the over usage of zombies into today's horror media(ENOUGH FUCKING ZOMBIES), vampire romance stories of any kind, people who use sexuality as an Identity, Nicholas Cage, The incarnation of everything that is wrong with humanity AKA Bono, sexually active 13 year olds (you disgust me), Political correctness, censorship, people who think reading the catcher and the rye entitles them to an educated opinion on human psychology (Holden Caulfield was a whining little bitch, end of story), female metal "musicians" praised more for their looks than their talent(if you payed closer attention, instead of pressing your face against the screen to get a closer look at her cleavage, you would hear how shit Maria Brink actually is) and finally, people who are too cowardly to debate. Favorite Music: I love my music very much, I'm a big fan of metal. I love any metal genre. Black, Power, Death, Thrash, Melodic, Folk, Industrial, Progressive All Amazing.
