Profile: Official VampireFreaks Profile of Akasha Asylum. Model, Singer, Photographer and Artist. Akasha Asylum has been modelling within the Alternative/Goth scene for just over five years. Her experience she says "Has been a wonderful one which has inspired both my creative flare for music as well as getting more into photography. It has made my life filled with interesting people and beautiful people." She has worked with photographers from all over the United Kingdom including great Gothic Scene photographers such as Fotomill, Andy Dendy and Antonio Corte-Real. She shall be working with the amazing Thamiel Kain, Kestrel, Draken and John Henry over the upcoming months in 2011. She says "These photographers are big inspirations to my own personal photography and they are the old timers, not meaning they are old but meaning they are the people to first think of doing this kind of work and they do it to extreme and amazing lengths. It is a honour to work with them all." Akasha will be updating her portfolio with relative information and updates on her work through this profile. Akasha is also now a photographer and Singer. She speaks of her work as a photographer being inspired by the works of Lady Amaranth ( UK Professional Gothic Model) and Photographers Kestrel and Thamiel Kain. "My work has no limitations. That is the beauty of working as an Alternative photographer, there are no boundaries. The depth of vision and creativity had to expand from just Modelling, I found my love of photography through a class within college where we used all media's to create art. Photography has became a real hobby since then. She has said she will be on the look out for interested aspiring models to work along side in 2011. As a singer Akasha does a range of styles incorporated into one style. She is a great lover of Celtic and Operatic influences. Yet adores her Gothic music routes. "Since I was young I have listened to rock and metal music. I was never into RnB or Rap or shall we say "normalised" music scenes. I am uninterested in anything that has no depth to it. I find most modern music has very little of anything and becomes repetitive and boring. I love techno, I do not mind drum and bass, I adore rock, indie, metal and Celtic. So I bring all the styles I love together." Akasha calls her music style CelGoth Ambience.
