Profile: Penumbra: A partial shadow between regions of complete shadow and complete illumination. Chimera: 1. A fire-breathing monster represented with the head of a lion, the body of a goat, and the tail of a serpent. 2. A creation of the imagination; an impossible and foolish fancy. Tell me, gentle wanderer...  ...which chimera am I to you? Heartfelt greetings to those of you who deigned to read past the first few lines of my profile. I have been called many things during my 28 years on this planet, but the one name which stuck with most was Chimera. Therefore, I shall introduce myself as such. I have been known to others as an artist, an opera singer, a lover of languages, a Thai boxer, an insect enthusiast, and a fierce patriot of Finland. I am all these things, but my true passion is with the first description. Art is how I breathe. I have created wonders and horrors alike with my clay, pens, and inks, and would show you kind people my labors of love, but alas, there are thieves on this vicious internet who would be more than happy to steal my work and claim it for their own, so no. I choose to deprive the lot of you of my creations, unfortunately. No offense intended. I am really by no means physically beautiful, like many are on this website. My appearance can be described, at best, as "girl-next-door," and I have an above average figure. I am not thin, but I am a fighter, I am strong, and my spirit is of fire. That is my beauty, and no wrinkles shall ever hinder it. The physical fades; the spirit endures. I revere nature, and despise organized religion. Religion is nothing more than a way to control the feeble-minded masses around the world through fear; a euphemism of a dictatorship and nothing more. Fundamentalist Islam especially disgusts me in this fashion, much more than Christianity. Fundamentalist Christians are irritating with their constant proselytizing, but at least they will not strap explosives to themselves and walk into the schools where your children are at and murder them in some sick self-affirming Jihad enactment. Loathsome, those maggots are. Anyone who parades around the ancient and beautiful lands of Europe, holding signs which scream, "Europe is the cancer, Islam is the answer!" is deserving of being eradicated like cockroaches. Period. Alas, I digress, do forgive me. Anyway, my reverence of nature also makes me a lover of animals. In my small home, I have a little menagerie of my own: a Holland lop rabbit (Reaper), a little Dutch rabbit (Malutka), a Netherland dwarf (Frank), a huge French lop (Brunhilda), 13 assorted freshwater fish, a gray tabby cat (Paco Doom Occulta Gort the Destructor El Diablo--Paco for short), and four guinea pigs (Pumpkin, Marty, Willow, and Beans). They are my children and I would do anything for them. Oftentimes it is they who are kept well-fed while I go without! I do this without complaint, however. Aside from artistic creation, my animals are the joy of my life.  I traveled to Finland for the summer of '07. It was the most exquisite experience of my life. However, after my unfortunate return to the USA, I re-enrolled at the university in my city of residence, and am studying art. I am a sculptor primarily, and it is within my creations that I find nothing but utter happiness. I will always love Finland, and cherish the memories I had while visiting her. I have returned to my spiritual homeland many times since, and I plan to finally move there within the next couple of years. Finland in my heart forever.  Minä rakastan suomea aina. Likes: Creation, clay and the pyrotechnics associated with it, black metal, nature, lemmings, sanguinal painting, prisms, guinea pigs, RABBITS RABBITS RABBITS RABBITS, my beloved friends who have supported me through the years, animals, Muay Thai (oh, I miss my younger days), rabbits, painting, drawing & inking, rabbits, insects & arachnids, rodents, opera singing, expression, rabbits, devotion, large boots with buckles on them, bullet belts, spiked gauntlets, sleeping, being happy, RABBITS... Dislikes: Dishonesty to oneself and others, betrayal, COWARDICE, disloyalty, the using of others for personal gain, rejection, Cradle of Filth (yuck, what crap), most of the music from the USA, George W Bush and all his groupies, JUGGALO BULLSHIT, animal cruelty, fanatical Muslims and Christians (sorry if that offends, but it is the truth--I do not approve of mindless sheep), when the kiln makes my sculptures explode, sweet lies vs bitter truths, people who do not understand my blatant body language when I have no desire to speak with them, depression, shattered dreams and broken hearts... Favorite Music: My musical taste is fairly wide, although I have to admit that I utterly despise 95% of the music which comes out of the USA (I am American by blood, by the way, so this is not some sort of Eurotrashy statement on my part). However, these are some of the bands I enjoy listening to: Metal:Amorphis, Opeth, Keep of Kalessin, Iron Maiden, Tartaros, Emperor, Behemoth, Martriden, The Project Hate 1999, Windir, Immortal, Bathory, Marduk, some old Dimmu Borgir (although their new cd is very good, the last one was awful), Satyricon, Ensiferum, Nevermore (one reason American music is not 100% bad, only 95%), Apostasy, Amon Amarth, Therion, and many others that I can't think of off the top of my head... Rock: For My Pain...Sentenced, Delaware (sorry, I like to sing with him), Green Carnation... Industrial/EBM: VNV Nation, Turmion Kätilöt, Assemblage 23, Battery Cage, Icon of Coil, The Birthday Massacre, Punto Omega, Gary Numan, Combichrist (some), NeuroticFish, KMFDM, Apoptygma Berserk, some others that I'm forgetting... but none of you read these lists, anyway. I also enjoy classical music; primarily requiems. Duruflé's Requiem is just exquisite. I'm into nice "new age/ambient" music, and Pagan folk music, such as Trobar de Morte, Artesia, and Dargaard.
