Age of Atrocity was spawned from the decaying substance of human moral with the introduction and growth of modern technology. It's influences, however, extend beyond that. Humans were born with a hole in their hearts which no amount of power, possessions, or knowledge could fill. It is within human nature not to love and empathize, but to seize control of our surroundings and bend them to our liking and to resist change. What happens when we step beyond the borders of comfort? Fear. Anxiety. Remorse. Despair. And even hatred. We lash out aggressively to defend what we hold as our own, be it beliefs, values, or territories. The conflict between our greed and self preservation bring out the worst of humanity as we witness the decline of social behavior and the idolization of false gods. We are soldiers of decimation who walk the path of a bloody history bound to repeat itself. Welcome to the Age of Atrocity.
A Bit About the Band: Age of Atrocity is an up and coming local industrial project based out of Gilbertville, MA. The band took up programming in September of 2009 and has released 4 full length albums to date, the first of which was an album titled Putrefaction of Society- a rough sound that expressed the artist as he felt out who he was in the world of music as well as to become acquainted with the process of programming. The second and third album released were titled "Starstruck" and "Decibels of Decimation", respectively, and drew their themes from many political, social, and militaristic ideas. The fourth album, titled "Save Yourself" was brought about from tragedy, weakness, and losing control. AOA is now at work on a fifth album titled "Shock and Awe"- the influences of which are yet to be fully exploited. Together with Noizezzor AOA sought out to develop a label for independent industrial artists to unite with their sound as well as to develope a common fanbase. The label, Chemical Coma Records, is still currently in it's fledgling state, but is hoped to flourish into an interactive experience for both musicians and fans to communicate and spread their music.
