I don't ever really know what to say in these things, but at the same time I feel the need to put something here. I guess I'll go over the basics; I'm starting at CMU this fall, I plan to graduate in three years and continue from there straight to my Masters while doing feild work. I want to be a Cultural Anthropologist and a writer. I enjoy baking, watching/ playing sports, swimming, camping, shopping, hanging out with friends, reading, writing and learning. I'm super pumped for the Olympics right now what with soccer, softball, and all the other good stuff they have this year. Some of my favorite authors include; Melissa Marr, Veronica Roth, Rachel Mead, P.C. Cast, Celia Rees and J.K. Rowling. I have a large family that I love even if they sometimes drive me crazy. My grandfather and I are very close, he might be one of the wisest people I know. Personality wise I'm brash, curious, stubborn, somewhat introverted as well as extroverted, and have a bit of a temper. Socially I tend to be awkward outside of my tight group of friends. I value loyalty, love, and honesty above all other things. I have grown to have a great respect for those things because often they are hard to find and harder to keep. This has a very serious tenor but I'm not really like that all the time. I can stuggle with change but when I accept it I find it easy to adapt. Most of all I am me though, you won't find me changing for anyone or acting as anyone but me.
Likes
I love the whole camping thing as long as there are real bathrooms and showers. Swimming and biking are pluses. I love softball and am a huge Tigers fan, I believe that they will make a come back. I enjoy reading and writing. Snakes are cool as long as I get to touch them on my terms. I love to go barefoot too (its a family thing I think.) Coffee is a life saver and goes best with banana nut muffins. Yums.
Dislikes
I don't really care for basketball, golf, or football. (I think anyone who runs that much in the first is psycho, I don't count the second as a sport and the last is just lame.) I don't like the cold or the snow. I don't like assholes or people who can't use their brains(the big one in most guys cases.) Bugs. Spiders (they are NOT bugs.) And lemonaid (that stuff is yucky.) Mayo and Miracle Whip are skucky too. Blech.
Favorite Music
My musical interests are somewhat varied. I was raised on country and rock; Big and Rich or Queen. I've grown to love Celtic and Folk, though I am not a Bob Dylan fan. Indie and Alternative are a constant for me. I like to broaden my horizans and listen to foriegn music or foriegn inspired music at times. Like any real '90's kid I also love Disney movie music. I'm open to almost anything though I will admit I never could stomach Metal, Screamo and the like. I prefer to be able to understand the lyrics. Most of all the words mean a lot to me.
