Hello. The name's Monique. I'm not on this site for +10's and flirting, so any one with those intentions is free to message me, but don't expect much more than bemused sarcasm. I'm an introvert, although that doesn't mean I don't like to be social. I really just like to have enough personal time to read and learn in the peace and comfort of my own space. What I really like is just talking to people, and learning. I like this site because, despite the diversity of the people involved, I tend to find a high quantity of those with similar views to mine, or at least, formidable opinions from which I can learn. I have an interest in most things "occult", although the specific that really draws my attention is, generally, Physiognomy. I have always felt that I could see something into the personality of those that I talk to, simply by whats in their face; their body language, their tone, their eyes especially. When I decided to try and research it, I found that there were many others like myself, with the same questions, the same feelings, and a lot more people that were full of shit. It takes a certain mentality to do such "cold readings"; you cant just read a book or watch a television broadcast and call yourself an expert. It would take years and years of vigilance to learn what I hope to, and I have no qualms with admitting, that, though I feel competent, I am nowhere near the skill of some that I have met. I believe that you cannot learn everything from a single source, and that personal experience is the most valuable source of knowledge. Someone can tell you a stove is hot, but you never know what it means till you touch it yourself. Although most consider myths, legends, fortune telling, and the like, to be "old wives tales" or "parlor tricks", i think that there's always merit to them, because the wisdom, stories, or at least the idea, had to come from somewhere, or someones imagination, inspired by some sort of experience or idea. I'm beginning to realize this "about me" is turning into a regular blog, so I'll just finish with thanks for reading and and if you'd like to chat, or call me an idiot or something, just message me.
