Profile: -jake wallin-: Vocals -jake wallin-, driven by his inner demons and driven even further by his thirst for self expression, is a lyricist that has no intentions of being silenced. He pulled -DrownWithMe- together after many other side projects and sub-bands did not meet his par. He had always had a passion for music and a mechanical mind for sound and how it fit snuggly together with heavy riffing. -jake- set out to be the best lyricist he could be. Using the dark feel and word play of black metal, the aggressiveness and brutality of death metal, the immense feeling and stature of symphonic and power metal, and , finally, the deepness and meaning of poetry, he created his own unique style. He had always wanted his lyrics to be an extension of himself, so, when he screamed the word out loud they would hold value and not fall upon deaf ears. Being told he would always fail helped him defy those very words and become what he is today. -jake- believes that it is time to purify those of their lies and sins, to deliver unrelenting brutality and truth. With pen in hand, ink bleeds onto the world in the form of a statement, a calling. Armed with word and voice “We Conquer”. Daniel Kross: Lead Guitar When Daniel Kross picked up his guitar he instantly knew this is what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Before the metal he listened to mostly classic rock and new-age punk. Soon after, he met up with -jake wallin- and formed a small band. -jake- soon converted Daniel into metal and other metal core styles. Now he looks back and wonders why he ever settled for the other music styles in the first place. He might not enjoy every music style and genre to the same degree, but still actively participates in the listening of almost every genre, excluding country. Daniel delivers to -DrownWithMe- that crushing sound of chords and sharp melodies piercing through the rhythm of the rest to give the music a unique and stylistic sound all his own. Patrick Gillette: Rhythm Guitar Patrick Gillette was an unlikely candidate for guitar when he had received his first one at age twelve for a Christmas [a shitty wal-mart special, of coarse]. He played for four years off and on after that until he met up with Logan Kelley and formed a small band of their own. Soon after the foundation of -DrownWithMe- would be strengthened when the rhythm section of hell joined -jake- and Daniel. Patrick is not seen as the ideal metal player either, but one thing about Patrick is that he always seems to surprise everyone. He can now play bass, as well as, he holds the spot for rhythm guitar in the band. Patrick will listen to about anything he comes by excluding rap and country. Logan Kelley: Percussion Logan Kelley does not wish to have his information listed... -DrownWithMe- is dedicated to purifying and purging the area that has been infected. We bring the reality to the masses with unmatched brutality and pain. . . . booking info; -jake wallin- Monday-Friday: (815) 677-6735 Tony Kelley (815) 501-6188 or... drownwithmeband@yahoo.com or... myspace message us. ..Sounds Like: Dethklok meets Lanb of GodInfluences: Homepage: http://www.myspace.com/drownwithmeband
